Up to 30% of your home’s heat can be lost through poorly insulated walls. Your external walls have the greatest exposure to the outside elements. Improving or replacing your wall insulation is a great way to make long-term savings and a great way to improve the comfort of your home.

 

Internal insulation works can cause disruption in the living area and reduce the size of a room by 3 inches. Even to the best of our ability it will generate a lot of dust from taking down the old plasterboard. This work is also known as dry lining, and involves fixing insulation to the inner surfaces of the external walls. It is cost efficient as it can reduce your heating bills by up to 30%.

Some electrical fittings, wardrobes, skirting boards may need to be removed temporarily for the walls to be insulated but they are finished with skimmed plasterboard slab to a professional standard.

There are grants available for internal insulation works from €1,600 to €2,400 depending on the type of house.
